We are all dealing with the many ins and outs of the new Affordable Health Care Act. Although its intent is to help control the cost of health care, it is a very complex law with changes and delays making it even more difficult to comprehend. Be mindful that October 1,2013 is an important deadline for sending notices to your employees concerning the Health Insurance Exchange. Your insurance company may be able to assist you with these notices. Check healthcare.gov to enroll in the marketplace exchange and assist with the many questions you may have. It is important to remember that the small business tax credit will only apply to businesses that purchase their insurance through the exchange beginning in 2014.
