Edwards, Faust & Smith co-sponsored a seminar with Groth and Associates on May 19, 2015, at the Spectacular Events Center. Kurt Czarnowski, a former communications director for the Social Security Administration for thirty-four years, was the keynote speaker. Mr. Czarnowski was organzed, thorough and informative in his talk, and most importantly, he was interesting.
The seminar was geared to people of all ages to help them understand how social security works and how to plan to maximize benefits. It addressed retirement, widows, divorce, nonworking spouses, disability and much more. Approximately seventy-five attended the dinner/seminar. Several doorprizes were awarded thanks to the generosity of various investment firms. Client feedback was extremely positive and we will seriously consider providing this service again.
The seminar discussed how proper planning with your investment advisor and tax accountant can help you maximize your benefits while keeping your income tax at a minimum.
